The Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (MPERC) on January 26, 2024, issued the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Procedure for filing appeal before the Appellate Authority) Regulations 2004(Second Amendment) [AG-15(ii) of 2023], to further amend the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Procedure for filing appeal before the Appellate Authority) Regulations 2004[G-15 of 2004].
The following provisions have been stated:
• Paragraph "V" of the schedule, which states “Appeal Before the Appellate Authority under Section 127 of the Electricity Act, 2003”, is substituted as under:
"V. The appellant has paid half of the assessed amount Rs. _______ by way of Demand Draft Bearing No. dated to the licensee as per Section 127(2) of the Electricity Act, 2003. Proof of payment is enclosed."
• Serial No. 3 under List of Enclosures to the schedule which states “Appeal Before the Appellate Authority under Section 127 of the Electricity Act, 2003”, is substituted as under:
"3. Reference of deposition of half of the assessed amount."
This notification will come into force from January 26, 2024.
