The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) on January 30, 2024, issued a notification to amend Notification No. 50/2017-Customs, dated June 30, 2017, related to the effective rates of customs duty and IGST for goods imported into India.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In the Table, against S. No. 377, in column (3), for the item (ii) and the entries relating thereto, the following has been substituted namely: -
“(ii) Screw, SIM socket, or other mechanical items of Metal for cellular mobile phone;”
• S. No. 377B and the entries relating thereto have been omitted.
