The Government of Kerala on December 15, 2023, issued a notification regarding registration on the EPR portal of the Central Pollution Control Board.
The following has been stated: -
•Manufacturers, producers, refurbishers, and recyclers handling e-waste as per Union Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change as per E-waste (Management) Rules, 2022 must register immediately on the Central Pollution Control Board's EPR portal.
•No establishment dealing with e-waste shall be allowed to operate without registration in the portal. Also, no organization registered on the portal shall enter into any transaction with any manufacturer, producer, refurbisher, or recycler who is not registered on the portal under any circumstances.
