Industry Specific Compliance The University Grants Commission (UGC) on January 30, 2024, discontinued the M.Phil. programme in accordance with the recommendation of the National Education Policy 2020.

The following has been stated:

• It has decided to extend the validity of the M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology and M.Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work till 2025-26 academic session only.

• It has stated that students can be admitted to an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology and M.Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work programmes by HEIs till the 2025-26 academic session only.
