The Government of Haryana on January 31, 2024, published the Haryana Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2024 to further amend the Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993.
The following has been amended namely: -
• in rule 225 which states “Classification of an officer”, in sub-rule (1), the following has been amended namely: -
(i) in clause (xvii), for the sign “.” existing at the end, the sign “;” shall be substituted;
(ii) after clause (xvii), the following clause shall be added, namely: - “(xviii) Transport Inspector, Regional Transport Authority.
• In the said rules, in rule 226 which states the "Powers of officers of motor vehicles department for challans in respect of certain offenses.” in sub-rule (1)
in schedule, - (i) under columns 1,2 and 3, after serial number 17 and entries there against, the following serial number and entries there against shall be added, namely: -
“18. Transport Inspector, Regional Transport Authority
