The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) on January 31, 2024, issued a notification regarding holding of the white/refined sugar stock produced by the vacuum pan process.
The following has been stated: -
•Every producer of sugar by vacuum pan process, shall hold white/refined sugar stock tentatively till February 29, 2024, until further order.
•Opening stock as of February 01, 2024, Plus (+) Production during the month of February 2024 till February 29, 2024, minus (-) quantity not exceeding the figures as mentioned in column (4) of the table below against respective sugar mills.
