The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on February 01, 2024, issued the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Second Amendment) Order, 2023, to further amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In Schedule VI, which states “List of plants/plant materials permitted import with additional declarations and special conditions”, against serial number 426, against entry related to “Persea americana (Avocado)” after the existing entries the following be inserted as specified in the table.
This notification will come into force from February 01, 2024.
