The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoAF&W) on February 02, 2024, issued a notification regarding providing subsidies on Agricultural Credit to farmers to facilitate short-term agricultural loans at concessional rates of interest and incentivize them for prompt repayment of loans through various components as per scheme guidelines were required to furnish proof of possession of Aadhaar or undergo Aadhaar authentication.
The following has been stated:
• It was provided that the notification should come into effect from the date of its publication in the official Gazette in all the States and Union Territories (UTs) except the States of Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir (Now, UTs of J&K and Ladakh).
• It has been stated that in the case of Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir, hereby notifies that in these States/Union Territories, the said Notification will come into effect as under:
In the case of Assam, Meghalaya, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh with effect from February 02, 2024.
