The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on February 09, 2024, issued the date of establishment and withdrawal for certain Indian Standards.
The following IS have been established on January 24, 2024: -
• IS 3983 : 2024 Goatskin Parchment for Orthopaedic Purposes — Specification (First Revision)
• IS 8662 : 2024 Enamel, Synthetic — Undercoating and Finishing for Exterior of Railway Coaches — Specification (Third Revision)
• IS 15844 (Part 3) : 2024 Sports Footwear Part 3 Professional Sports Footwear
The following IS shall be withdrawn on April 24, 2024: -
• IS 3983 : 1966 Specification for Goatskin Parchment for Orthopaedic Purposes
• IS 8662 : 2004 Enamel, Synthetic Exterior: (a) Undercoating (b) Finishing, for Railway Coaches — Specification (Second Revision)
• IS 15844 : 2010 Sports Footwear — Specification
