The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (HPERC) on February 02, 2024, issued the Draft Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Deviation Settlement Mechanism and Related Matters) Regulations, 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•Regulation 2 lays down various definitions of the terms like Actual Drawal, Actual Injection, and others.
•Regulation 3 lays down the objective that is to maintain grid discipline and grid security as envisaged, under the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Indian Electricity Grid Code) Regulations, 2010, and Himachal Pradesh Electricity Grid Code, 2008 as amended from time to time, through the commercial mechanism for Deviation Settlement through drawal and injection of electricity by the users of the grid.
•Regulation 4 is about the scope it specifies that these Regulations shall be applicable to the buyers and the sellers i.e. the State Distribution Licensee (s), State Sector Generating Stations, and Open Access Customers connected to the State Grid.
•Regulation 5 mentions the Principles for operationalizing the Deviation Settlement Mechanism.
The objections or suggestions regarding the draft regulations can be submitted after the expiry of thirty days.
