The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) In National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas on February 13, 2024, issued the directions under Section L2 of the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas Act, 2O2L Prevention and Mitigation of Air Pollution from Construction & Demolition activities in the NCR.
The following has been stated:
• It has been directed that a Completion Certificate (CC)/ Occupancy Certificate (OC) is not issued, by the agencies in charge/responsible for the issue of CC/OC, in respect of any project against which "Closure" direction issued by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) is pending. The agencies concerned may refer to the list of entities, whose resumptions orders are yet to be issued (list updated weekly) at the Commission's website www.caqm.nic.in while considering applications for grant of CC/OC.
• It has also stated that all the agencies responsible for issuing CC/OC must strictly comply with these directions. The list of agencies issuing CC/OC is not exhaustive. There may be other agencies also that are not listed below and the concerned Pollution Control Boards/Committee may issue suitable directions to them under intimation to this Commission to ensure that all agencies in the NCT of Delhi and the cities/towns of Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Baghpat, Bhiwadi and Alwar are duly covered.
