The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) on February 09, 2024, notified Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Central Recordkeeping Agency) (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 to amend the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Central Recordkeeping Agency) Regulations, 2015.
The following has been stated: -
•In sub-regulation (1) of regulation 1, the objective of regulation shall be substituted as follows: “The objective of the regulations is to specify eligibility criteria and set standards for technology architecture, governance, and operational service levels of central recordkeeping agency to protect the interest of subscribers.”
•Sub-regulation (4) of regulation 3 which is about the Application for grant of certificate of registration and application fee shall be deleted.
•Sub-regulation (1) of regulation 6 which is about the Furnishing of information and clarification shall be substituted as follows:
“6. Furnishing of Information and clarification – (1) The Authority may require the applicant to furnish further information or clarification, for consideration of its application.”
•Clause (l) of sub-regulation (2) of regulation 18 which is about the Roles and responsibilities of the central recordkeeping agency shall be deleted.
