The Government of Maharashtra on February 15, 2024, published the Maharashtra Potable Liquor (Fixation of Maximum Retail Prices) (Amendment) Rules, 2024 to further amend the Maharashtra Potable Liquor (Fixation of Maximum Retail Prices) Rules, 1996
The following has been amended namely: -
• In Rule 5 which states “Regulation of Maximum Retail Price of Potable Liquor” in Clause (A) sub-clause (iii)
(i) For entry (e) the following shall be substituted namely: -
“(e) 4 times the manufacturing cost in case of craft beer manufactured in a microbrewery or a restraint brewery having alcoholic strength not more than 14 proof spirit or 8 percent v/v plus sales tax at privelant rate”
(ii) For the entry (f) shall be deleted.
