The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) on February 13, 2024, notified the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Pension Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 to amend the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Pension Fund) Regulations, 2015.
The following has been stated: -
•In sub-regulation (1) of regulation 1 the objective of regulation shall be substituted as follows: ―The objective of the regulations is establishing, developing, and regulating pension funds and protecting the interests of subscribers.
•Sub-regulation (2) of regulation 2 shall be deleted.
•Regulation 3 which is about Certificate of Registration shall be deleted.
•Regulation 6 shall be substituted which is about the Furnishing of information or clarification.
•Regulation 7 shall be substituted which is about the Verification of information.
These shall come into force on February 15, 2024.
