The Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (MPERC) on February 16, 2024, extended the control period for the procurement of power by Distribution Licensees generated from Biomass based power projects in the State of Madhya Pradesh i.e., tariff order dated September 13, 2022.
The Commission is in the process of fixation of norms and determination of tariff for the next control period which shall take some time to finalise.
Given the above, the Commission decides to extend the control period until further orders. All other terms and conditions of the tariff order dated September 13, 2022, shall remain unchanged.
