The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on February 19, 2024, issued a notification to amend notification no. 50/2017-Customs, dated June 30, 2017, related to the effective rates of customs duty and IGST for goods imported into India.
The following amendments have been stated:
• After S. No. 3 and the entries relating thereto, S. No. 3AA and entries have been inserted.
• After S. No. 32A and the entries relating thereto, S. No. 32AA, 32AB, 32AC and entries have been inserted.
• After S. No. 90 and the entries relating thereto, S. No. 90A, 90B and entries have been inserted.
• against S. No. 100, in column (2), for the entry, the entry “2202 99” has been substituted.
• After S. No. 304A and the entries relating thereto, S. No. 304B and entries have been inserted.
This notification shall come into force on February 20, 2024.
