Labour Compliance The Government of Goa on February 16, 2024, issued the Goa Labour Welfare Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2024 to further amend the Goa Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1986.

The following amendments have been stated:

• In section 20 which states Appointment and power of Secretary, for sub-section (1), the following sub-section has been substituted, namely: —

“(1) The Government shall appoint the Commissioner, Labour and Employment as Secretary of the Board, who shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Board.”

It shall come into force at once.
