The Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) on February 16, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Amendments to the International Code on the Enhanced Programme of Inspections during surveys of Bulk Carriers and Oil Tankers, 2011 (2011 ESPCODE) and its applicability – reg.
The following has been stated:
• It has issued various amendments to the International Code on the Enhanced Programme of Inspections during surveys of Bulk Carriers and Oil Tankers,2011 (2011 ESP CODE) from time to time, which is annexed to this Order at Annexure-1 apply to Indian vessels. The stakeholders are therefore advised to be guided by this Order towards compliance with the provisions to give full effect to the ESP Code, as amended.
