The Government of Goa on February 16, 2024, issued the Goa Motor Vehicles Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2024, to further amend the Goa Motor Vehicles Tax Act, 1974.
The following has been amended namely: -
• In PART ‘A’ of the Schedule, in item (A), the following sub-items have been inserted namely: -
1. (I)(a) Motorcycles used for renting under Rent a Motor Cycle Scheme, 1997
2. (V)(a) Motor cab used for renting under Rent a Cab Scheme 1989.
• In PART ‘B’, for the item (B), certain items shall be substituted
• The Goa Motor Vehicles Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023 (Ordinance No. 5 of 2023) is repealed
It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from December 15, 2023
