The Income Tax Department on February 19, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Remission and Extinguishment of Demands.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Eligible outstanding direct tax demands have been remitted and extinguished.

• Log into the account and follow the path Pending Action > Response to Outstanding Demand to check the status of ‘Extinguished Demands’.
