The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on February 15, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Implementation of the Minimum Rollout Obligations (MRO) module in Saral Sanchar Portal.
The following has been stated namely: -
• An Online MRO module has been introduced in the Saral Sanchar Portal to automate the process involved in fulfillment of minimum rollout obligations.
• The salient features of the MRO application process are: -
1. Online Application for service test/verification by TSPs in Form-A
2. Online issuance of a compliance certificate by the LSA
3. Evaluation of MRO compliance by AS wing and subsequent issuance of the order for the release of PBG/demand notice for levy of LD
• MRO Module will go live on February 15, 2024
