Finance & Taxation Compliance The Government of Meghalaya on February 09, 2024, issued a notification to modify and revise the rate of tax on Diesel Oil and other internal combustion oils and to further specify that the rate of tax and pollution surcharge as indicated in the Table will come into force with effect from 00.00 hrs of February 10, 2024.

The Rate of Tax on Diesel Oil and other internal combustion oils will be 5% or Rs. 8.50/- only per litre whichever is higher and the pollution surcharge will be 10 paise per litre.
