Commercial Compliance The Government of Karnataka on February 21, 2024, published the Karnataka Stamp (Amendment) Bill, 2024 to further amend the Karnataka Stamp Act, 1957

The following has been amended namely: -

• In Section 10A which states “Payment of stamp duty by cash in certain cases” in sub-section (1), the words “or by demand draft or by pay order drawn on a branch of any scheduled bank” and the words “or upon production of demand draft or pay order as the case may be” shall be omitted.
