The Government of Chhattisgarh on February 02, 2024, issued amendments to the Chhattisgarh Country Spirit Rules, 1995.
The following has been stated-
•In place of clause (a) of Rule 2, the following clause (a) of Rule 2 should be substituted, namely:-
(a) “Manufacturing Warehouse” means a distillery operated/established in the State.
Country liquor bottling room located on the premises / Country liquor bottling room located on the premises and foreign liquor bottling room located on the premises Country liquor bottling facility situated in liquor bottling complex, in a separate hall or in several halls situated in a tied (Bonded) Liquor warehouse, in which refined spirit is obtained for manufacturing of country liquor, stored be made, blended at issue strength/reduced potency, bottled, sealed And packed in master cartons for supply to retail licensees, storage warehouse (Storage warehouse) should be issued."
•In place of clause "(b)" of sub-rule (1) of rule 3, the following clause of sub-rule (1) of rule 3 should be substituted, namely:- (a)"
"(b) The license shall be granted by the Excise Commissioner on advance payment of the amount of fee at the rate of fifty thousand rupees per storage warehouse for the period of license of one year in Form CS-1 as aforesaid, Which will be renewed every year on payment of the prescribed fees subject to due observance of the provisions of the Act and the rules made thereunder
