The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on February 23, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Revised file formats in the UCC system of the Exchange.
The following has been stated namely: -
• To facilitate changes made in the PAN verification methodology, certain modifications have been made in the Unique Client Code (UCC) file structure
• Further, the following points need to be noted:
o PAN verification shall be considered as successful only when the status of all the 3 parameters i.e. PAN, Client Name, Client Date of Birth/Incorporation/Registration are successfully verified.
o Any modification/amendments to the Client Name and Date of Birth, Date of Incorporation/Registration can be done only by way of Unfreeze requests. The revised details shall be verified again with Protean.
These changes shall be effective from March 28, 2024.
