Labour Compliance The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoL&E) on February 26, 2024, issued the Employees' State Insurance (Central) Amendment Rules, 2024 to further amend the Employees’ State Insurance (Central) Rules, 1950.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Rule 29 which states “Procedure for execution of contracts” in sub-rule (2), in the proviso, the following has been substituted namely: -

“Provided that the prior sanction of the Standing Committee shall be obtained in respect of any contract involving an expenditure exceeding rupees twenty–five crores”
