The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (MoCF) on February 27, 2024, issued the Diesel Engines – NOx Reduction Agent AUS 32 (Quality Control) Order, 2024 after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards.
The following has been stated:
• It shall apply to Diesel Engines – NOx Reduction Agent AUS 32 and shall not apply to goods or articles meant for export.
• Diesel Engines – NOx Reduction Agent AUS 32 shall conform to the IS 17042 (Part-1): 2018 and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards in accordance with Scheme-I of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
• The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority in respect of the Diesel Engines – NOx Reduction Agent AUS 32.
It shall come into force on the expiry of 180 days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette i.e, February 27, 2024.
