The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on February 27, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) Scheme Calendar for premature redemption during April 2024 – September 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The premature redemption of the gold bonds is permitted after five years from the date of issue of such bonds.
• The details of tranches falling due for premature redemption during the period April 01, 2024 – September 30, 2024, along with the window available for submission of requests for premature redemption by the investors have been stated in the notification.
