The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW) on February 27, 2024, issued the Draft Drugs (... Amendment) Rules, 2024, to further amend the Drugs Rules, 1945.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In rule 43A, which states “No drug shall be imported into India except through one of the following places”, for the words “Bengaluru and Visakhapatnam”, the words, “Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, Cochin and Thiruvananthapuram” shall be substituted.
The Objections and suggestions shall be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of 30 days from February 27, 2024, and may be addressed to the Under Secretary (Drugs), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, Room No. 434, C Wing, Nirman Bhavan, New Delhi - 110011 or email at [email protected].
