The Department of Labour, Nagaland on February 13, 2024, issued the Draft Nagaland Child and adolescent labour (prohibition and regulation) Rules, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It shall be ensured that no children and adolescents are employed or permitted to work in any occupation or process.
• A child may, without affecting his school education, in any manner help his/her family in his/her family enterprise
• A child may be allowed to work as an artist subjected to that no child shall be allowed to work for more than five hours in a day, and for not more than three hours without rest
• Objections or suggestions may be sent at @[email protected] before the expiry of 30 days.
