The Government of Maharashtra on February 28, 2024, issued the Maharashtra Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) (Amendment) Bill, 2024 to further amend the Maharashtra Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2023.
The following has been amended namely: -
• in Section 6 which states “Establishment and Incorporation of University” in Subsection (1), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: -
"Provided that, the universities specified in Part II of the Schedule on the date of commencement of this Act shall be deemed to have been established on that date.".
