Industry Specific ComplianceThe International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on February 29, 2024, issued the Consultation Paper on the IFSCA (Payment Services) (Amendment) Regulations, 2024

The objective of this consultation paper is to seek comments/views/suggestions from the public on the proposed amendments to the International Financial Services Authority (Payment Services) Regulations, 2024

The following has been stated namely: -

•It states that the following activities as payment services may be provided by the entities authorized as Payment Service Providers (PSP) under the regulations namely: -

o account issuance service (including e-money account issuance service)

o e-money issuance service

o  escrow service

o Cross-border money transfer service

o merchant acquisition service

•It has invited comments/suggestions through e-mail to Mr. Supriyo Bhattacharjee at [email protected] and Mr. Vaibhav Sattavan at [email protected] on or before March 21, 2024 

• The comments may be provided in MS Word or MS Excel format only.
