The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) on February 29, 2024, notified the Living Animal Species (Reporting and Registration) Rules, 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•Rule 2 lays down various definitions of terms like animal species, and veterinary practitioner.
•Rule 3 mentions the application for registration of possession.
•Rule 4 mentions the application for reporting and registration of birth.
•Rule 5 mentions the application for reporting and registration of transfer.
They shall come into force on February 29, 2024.
