The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on March 01, 2024, issued a notification regarding FATF public statement on jurisdictions on call for action and increased monitoring - February 2024 Plenary.
The following has been stated: -
•The Exchange is in receipt of a communication from the SEBI which inter-alia states as under:
As part of the ongoing efforts to identify and work with jurisdictions with strategic AML / CFT deficiencies, FATF has released Public Statements after the February 2024 Plenary.
It is highlighted that following review, FATF now also identifies Kenya and Namibia as new jurisdictions subject to increased monitoring.
