The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) on February 09, 2024, issued the Regulatory guidelines for sampling of drugs, cosmetics & medical devices by Drugs Inspectors of Central & State Drug Authorities to streamline and rationalize the sampling procedure of drugs, cosmetics & medical devices and maintaining a centralized monthly database of NSQ/Spurious drugs.
The draft regulatory guidelines for sampling of drugs, cosmetics & medical devices by Drugs Inspectors of Central & State Drug Authorities were circulated to all zonal/sub-zonal offices of CDSCO and State Licensing Authorities for their input and suggestions.
In this regard, the inputs/suggestions were received and have been incorporated appropriately into the guidance document.
