The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) on February 28, 2024, issued the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and the UT of Ladakh (Grant of Connectivity and Open Access in Intra-State Transmission & Distribution and related matters) Regulations, 2024.

• Criteria for Granting Open Access
• Categories of Open Access Consumers
• Nodal Agency and fee for Open Access
• Procedure for Grant of Open Access Involving Inter-State Transmission System
• Creation of a Coordination Committee and Detailed Procedure for Grant of Open Access
• Procedure for Grant of Long-term Open Access Involving Intra-State Transmission and/or Distribution System
• Procedure for Grant of Medium-term Open Access Involving Intra-State Transmission and Distribution System
• Procedure for Grant of Short-term Open Access involving Intra-State Transmission and Distribution System
These Regulations extend to the whole of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and the UT of Ladakh and will come into force from February 28, 2024.
