The Government of Karnataka on February 20, 2024, issued the Policy for the development of the City Gas Distribution network.
The following Objectives have been stated namely: -
• To ensure faster implementation of CGD Infrastructure in the state by supporting the CGD entities to execute the work Program
• To help CGD entities undertake safe operations and reliable supply of natural gas by maintaining asset integrity
• To promote the adoption of natural gas in the states as a green and clean fuel and encourage the use of natural gas for industrial, commercial transport, and household purposes.
• To make permissions, clearance, and charges, standardize a uniform in a time-bound manner, and provide a policy framework.
