The Government of Uttarakhand on January 27, 2024, issued the Uttarakhand State Protection of Cow Progeny (Amendment) Rules, 2024 to further amend the State Protection of Cow Progeny Rules, 2011.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Rule 29 which states “Enquiry of applications” sub-rule has been substituted namely: -
“All the applications shall be examined by the District Magistrate through the nominated officer. After examination the following selection committee shall select the organisations for grant of Government aid in accordance of the relevant Government orders of Animal Husbandry department: -
(a) District Magistrate-Chairperson
(b) Chief Development Officer-Member Secretary
(c) Municipal Commissioner/Executive Officer, Concerned Municipal Body-Member
This shall come into force on January 27, 2024
