The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on March 01, 2024, issued circulation for proposed General Authorisation for Export of Telecommunication related items (GAET) and General Authorisation for Export of Information Security items (GAEIS) for public/Industry comments.
The following has been stated: -
•To simplify the policy of Telecommunication and Networking items and Information Security items covered under category 8A5 of the SCOMET list, a draft policy on General Authorisation for the Export of Telecommunication items (GAET) and General Authorisation for the Export of Information Security items (GAEIS) is proposed. The same is being circulated for the public/Industry comments and feedback.
•The comments, if any, may be brought to the notice of the directorate by March 07, 2024.
