The Government of Kerala on March 05, 2024, issued the Kerala Motor Vehicles (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2024 to further amend the Kerala Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.
The following amendments has been stated:
• In sub-rule (2) of rule 260A which states Special Provision applicable to a stage carriage permitted to be operated as certain classes of services,
o in sub-rule (2), for the words “twenty years”, the words “twenty-two years" shall be substituted.
o in the 2nd proviso to sub-rule (2) for the words "fifteen years", the words "twenty years" shall be substituted.
They shall come into force at once.
