CBIC amended the rate of exchange of foreign currency

Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on March 07, 2024, issued the amendment of notification no. 13/2024-Customs(N.T.), dated February 15, 2024, which states the “Rate of exchange of foreign currency”

The following has been amended namely: -

• The rate of exchange of one unit of foreign currency equivalent to Indian rupees is namely: -

1. Australian Dollar – 55.70 (Imported Goods); 53.30 (Export Goods)

2. Bahraini Dinar – 228.45 (Imported Goods) 211.85 (Export Goods)

3. Canadian Dollar – 62.30 (Imported Goods); 60.35 (Export Goods)

• Rate of exchange of 100 units of foreign currency equivalent to Indian rupees namely: -

1. Japanese Yen – 56.60 (Imported Goods); 54.85 (Export Goods)

2. Korean Won – 6.40 (Imported Goods) 6.05 (Export Goods)
