The Government of Goa on March 06, 2024, issued the Goa Lokayukta (Amendment) Rules, 2024, to further amend the Goa Lokayukta Rules, 2012.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In rule 10, which states “Conditions of service of Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayukta”, for sub-rule (8), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:
o The Lokayukta shall be the self-sanctioning authority to grant leave, leave not due, special disability leaves and LTC (Leave Travel Concession) to him.
o The Authority competent to grant leave, leave not due, special disability leaves and LTC (Leave Travel Concession) to Upa-Lokayukta shall be the Lokayukta”.
This notification will come into force from March 06, 2024.
