Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) on March 07, 2024, notified the Asbestos or Fibre Cement based Products (Quality Control) Order, 2024.

The following has been stated: -

•Rule 2 is about the Compulsory use of Standard Marks.

•Rule 3 specifies that the Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority for the goods or articles specified in the Table.

•Rule 4 is about Penalty for Contravention.

It shall come into force on the expiry of six months from March 08, 2024.
