The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on March 07, 2024, issued the Electrical Appliance for Commercial Dispensing and Vending (Quality Control) Order, 2023
This order shall come into force on September 05, 2024, provided that for small enterprises it shall come into force on December 09, 2024, and for micro-enterprises, it will come into force on March 05, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the Goods or articles shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standards and bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards.
•It specifies that The certifying and enforcing authority for the goods or articles shall be The Bureau of Indian Standards.
• It further states that in case Any person found violating the stipulations outlined in this order shall be subject to penalties as prescribed by The Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
