The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on March 08, 2024, issued a notification regarding the date of Establishment and the date till which the standard related to Sanitary Napkins without the amendment shall remain in force.
The following has been stated:
• IS 5405: 2019 Sanitary Napkins — Specification (Second Revision)
• IS 17354: 2020 Medical Textiles — Dental Bib/Napkins — Specification
• IS 17509: 2021 Disposable Baby Diaper — Specification
• IS 17514: 2021 Reusable Sanitary Pad/Sanitary Napkin/Period Panties — Specification
For the above-mentioned Indian standards particular date of Establishment of the Amendment is February 10, 2024, and the date till which the standard without the amendment shall remain in force is May 09, 2024.
