The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (MoC&F) on March 08, 2024, Invited details of local manufacturers of specific Drugs, Medicines and Pharmaceutical Formulations.
Based on the requests of Central Procuring Agencies, DoP had taken up an exercise of finding local manufacturers of those Drugs/Medical Devices for which procuring entities were facing difficulties in procurement and based on the result of the exercise, after the recommendation of MoHFW, currently, 364 MDs and 85 drugs are exempted upto March 31, 2024, from the DoE's instructions regarding Global Tender Enquiry. Based on the fresh representations received from procuring entities/Medical Device Associations/Importers, a list of a total of 196 Drugs/Medicines/Pharmaceutical Formulations (including items that are under exemption till March 31, 2024, and fresh requests) has been prepared and placed at Annexure for local manufacturers to place their objection, against the inclusion of any medicine/formulation in the GTE exemption list, on account of domestic manufacturing.
It is requested to share details within 10 days of the issuance of the notice.
