Industry Specific Compliance The Government of Karnataka on March 11, 2024, notified the Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj (Amendment) Act, 2024 to further amend the Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj Act, 1993.

The following has been stated-

•In section 160, in the first proviso,- (i) the words “and Kodagu” shall be omitted; and (ii) at the end the following shall be inserted, namely:- “and in case of Kodagu district, there shall be one member for every eighteen thousand or part thereof of rural population.”
