The Government of Maharashtra on March 12, 2024, issued a notification regarding the implementation of Vidya Samishka Kendra (VSK) in the state.
The following has been stated: -
•Information collection and analysis processes in the education sector should be made faster and easier. Also to provide a unified platform for information analysis to various stakeholders including policymakers, teachers, and administrators at all levels, and based on that help to plan activities/plans keeping in view all of the above the Vidya Samishka Kendra (VSK) has been formed.
•For effective implementation, control, and accurate evaluation and to improve the education system the VSK is being implemented.
•Objectives of Vidya Samiksha Kendra:
1. Real-time monitoring of various activities/projects implemented under the Samagra Shiksha and STARS project.
2. Tracking of educational and physical activities/schemes at the state level and sectoral Empowering officials and teachers to make data-based decisions.
3. Enrolled students, out-of-school students, drop-out students, open education students, in-stream child labour, disabled students, vocational students, distribution of uniforms and textbooks, scholarships, financial benefit schemes, school-level evaluation, students and teachers need Help, encouragement, and awards, etc. Keeping an eye on things.
