Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Government of Rajasthan on March 13, 2024, issued the Draft Rajasthan Excise (Amendment) Rules, 2024, to further amend the Rajasthan Excise Rules, 1956.

The following has been stated:

• In rule 69B, which states “Fees for certain permits”, after the existing clause (d), the following new clause (e) shall be added, namely:

“(e) Every wholesale licensee of hemp shall pay a permit fee of Rs. 1.00 per kilogram for the transportation of hemp.”

This notification will come into force from April 01, 2024.
