The Department of Telecommunication (DoT) on March 03, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Demonstration of Lawful Interception System and Lawful Interception Monitoring (LIS/LIM) facilities for all types of services.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Lawful Interception System (LIS) and Lawful Interception Monitoring (LIM) facilities demonstrations are offered by the Licensee(s) before the Lawful Enforcement Authorities (LEAs) while providing any new service as per the scope of an authorization.
• The LIS/LIM facilities are offered for testing through the respective licensing divisions of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) i.e. AS, CS, DS & Satellite divisions.
• In order to streamline the processes, all types of licensees shall offer the LIS/LIM facilities for testing through the SPPI division of the DoT.
